[JaMaine_UniverseOFC] Greets Bossing Vic Happy Birthday!

Early Saturday morning, 30th April 2016, a task needed to be undertaken for Team JaMaine Universe OFC. So there I was not soon after the branch opened. I think I was even the first customer for the day! 

The mission: order a birthday cake for Bossing Vic's birthday celebration on Eat Bulaga. The 12 x 12 chocolate cake looked really yummy, so I chose that one. The best part is I even got to use my P100 off coupon from my Happy Plus card. 

All boxed up and ready to go to Broadway Centrum. Weee! 

It's a good thing there weren't too many people outside when I got there. I got the chance to ask the security personnel where to send the cake for Bossing Vic and I was asked to proceed to the lobby to bring it there. 

I stayed till the cake was out of the box and displayed right next to the other cakes there. I couldn't resist not taking a photo of the cute cake below. 

So there mission accomplished for the day! When I got back home, I found out that our cake was acknowledged during the opening segment of Eat Bulaga! I had to watch the replay to find out for sure! YIKEE!

It must have started as a joke... a bunch of Maine Mendoza fans, Jake Ejercito fans, as well as Kalyeserye and Eat Bulaga fans. I suppose to this day, perhaps, only a handful take us seriously. Oh but, we may sound funny, but we're definitely NOT JOKING! Just thought I'd share this milestone here. We've finally got a JaMaine_UniverseOFC tarp printed. After a few glitches with image file size, I finally managed to find a solution! Yehey! So where do we go from here? Stay tuned to find out more...

[Jake Ejercito] Jake on His GGMY Appearance

Excerpt from an article on Journal Online by Mario Bautista. So Jake was really nervous about his GGMY appearance huh? Well, I think he did well, and we all enjoyed his role as Maine's boyfriend. I personally believe Jake and Maine look good together. Too bad that Maine has an existing LT... JaMaine (Jake + Maine) is a better alternative for me. 

What I liked about the brief article is that it's pretty complete. Jake talked about his TV guesting, his studies, his lovelife, and even his reluctance to do a movie. I sure hope he changes his mind about it. Maine's movie would be more bearable to watch with Jake in it. Let's keep our fingers crossed!

I better post a disclaimer here. The following photos have been gathered from various sources, mostly from avid JaMaine (Jake + Maine) fans who seem to have an eye for details. And no, I don't have a hand in making these things up. I will let the public decide for themselves about these seemingly synchronized tweets or photos. I just find them interesting so I'm featuring them here.

Not sure when these were posted. Wonderwall. Maine even sang this during one of the past KS episodes... one before Jake made an appearance. It's a nice song, by the way.

It seems that both Jake and Maine are avid concert goers. This was one of the recent ones wherein the two were present... way before the KS appearance of Jake.

So, does Maine have a crush on Jake? Tweeted some time in 2012. She does sound like a fangirl way back then...

Ahhh, Jake liked Maine's tweet. This was way after his KS appearance. 

Well, Jake tweeted Maine a birthday greeting. But I guess Maine couldn't return the favor for fear of a backlash from crazy ADN fans... but they both posted on the same night of Jake's 26th birthday. I'm guessing Maine was reacting to a wacko fan who was telling Jake to back off from Maine. Tsk! 

Hey, these are just some of their fascinating similarities. Perhaps more avid fans have a whole lot more. But I don't want to dwell on guesses or inferences. By the way, I don't believe in coincidences. I'm sure things happen for a reason, and that they do so for valid reasons. One thing for sure, we're hoping that Jake and Maine will work together again soon. We sure miss watching them as Matthew and Dani. It's a good thing we can always opt to view the replay on YT.

[Maine Mendoza] Boy Abunda's Take on Yaya Dub

As someone who is truly fascinated with the sudden rise to fame of Internet sensation Maine Mendoza, a.k.a. Yaya Dub, I've followed showbiz as well as non-showbiz news on this phenomenon. To this day, I believe that Maine continues to be a phenomenal star. I've seen for myself how the crowd gathers just to catch a glimpse of her. I've been an avid showbiz follower with a few favorites of my own, but I have not seen this huge fascination for a local celebrity such as Maine before. 

I found this article on PEP.ph from way back in September 2015 when Boy Abunda talked about the Yaya Dub phenomenon. I believe he is a credible media personality, and I find his views interesting. 

With months down the line, the public still has not had enough of Maine Mendoza. I, for one, am still excited to watch more of her. I truly see a young woman with lots of potential for more that is not limited to showbiz alone. I hope her management agency will be able to handle her career well.

The date: January 9th, 2016. This was the day everyone met, for the first time, Divina's much-awaited klasmeyt, Jake. The character was practically mentioned the whole week, culminating on his personal appearance that Saturday! (Article below from GMA News)
